Uttishta Varanasi

Uttishta Varanasi is a doctoral researcher, whose current research focuses on how equity manifests in the design of digital public services. He has also worked as a design researcher in the Crisis Narratives project. He has also worked on the project “Promoting Critical, Playful and Inclusive Algorithmic Literacy and Digital Citizenship among Young Learners” funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Global Program Pilots, which explores how new forms of participatory engagement and technological fluency affects youth in Finland and India. His research interests lie at the intersection of design and technology, with a focus on participatory design.
